Student Athletes Spend Day Off School Volunteering

Instead of simply resting with the day off school, members of the Kilbourne Lacrosse team marked the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday by volunteering to deliver "Meals On Wheels" in Downtown Columbus.  The effort was part of Kilbourne Lacrosse's long-standing "Man-Up" community service program.

Eight players volunteered through Life Care Alliance to deliver approximately 30 hot meals.

The "Man-Up" initiative is a long-standing community service program designed as a way for Kilbourne Lacrosse players to give back to the community and learn the value and importance of community service.

Upcoming service events include another day of delivering meals on Presidents' Day.  In addition, Kilbourne Lacrosse players are  volunteering for a week at various Worthington elementary schools in the "Care After" program.

Nice job making a difference boys and learning that you actually receive even more than you give when you choose to volunteer and help others.
