Kilbourne Lacrosse Restores Spring Break Trip Tradition: Lacrosse and Beyond

Kibourne Lacrosse Played 2 Games in NC During Spring Break

Worthington Kilbourne Lacrosse traveled to North Carolina this past weekend to play two games against top flight schools, build team camaraderie and help restore the spring break tradition for the players and program.  The annual Spring Break trip was a fixture to the program for years and central to creating experiences and relationships that build team chemistry and continuity.  Due to COVID and other factors, this was the first team spring break trip since 2018!

The Wolves played defending North Carolina State Champs, Marvin Ridge HS, and lost 8-6.  They also played an elite boarding school Christ School in Asheville, NC and lost 16-5.  But, both on and off the field, the boys had growth experiences and made memories.

Off the field, the team bus trips, rooming together on the road and team meals all helped the players build stronger relationships, memories and laughs!  Excursions included, putt-putt, team paintball, hikes, a nicer team dinner for the players and plenty of time for humor.

The weather even turned nice enough to start to get lacrosse tan lines.

Also, during Spring Break, the JV Wolves are playing a game in Columbus and had a team bonding lunch, along with a viewing party of the OSU lacrosse game at a local restaurant after practice.

Thanks to all the parents in the Parents Club who helped plan and volunteer throughout the trip and the coaches who traveled. Thanks to all the families who traveled as well and for players and families who worked hard in fundraising to help bring this tradition back.  It will hopefully serve as a springboard for the second half of the season and will help the program going forward as both present and future Wolves can once again look forward to these spring break experiences, growth opportunities and memories as part of the Worthington Kilbourne Lacrosse program.
