Kilbourne Lacrosse Wolves Volunteer at 5 Elementary Schools

By WKHS Lacrosse Parents Club, 11/21/21, 6:15PM EST

The Kilbourne Lacrosse team continued their volunteer efforts at Worthington elementary schools' "Care After" programs this month.  In total, players and coaches visited 5 Worthington elementary schools and ran a free lacrosse clinic for boys and girls.

The team went to Liberty, Worthington Hills, Bluffsview, Brookside and Granby so far.  It's a great way to introduce young kids to the game and let them learn and have fun in a low commitment way.  Beyond lacrosse it's a great way for kids of Worthington to connect and for high schoolers to "give back".  We fully expect that in just a matter of years many of the kids who were "campers" will be back as players and passing it on to a new group of young Worthington kids!

Kilbourne Lacrosse has a long standing "Man-Up" community service program.  Next month players and coaches will be partnering with the Worthington Resource Pantry to collect needed items and help in their warehouse.

Thanks to all coaches, players and parents who assisted to make the clinics possible.  And thanks to the leaders of "Care After" to continue to welcome us every year. It's a "win" for everyone involved!
