Fun, friends, mentors and lacrosse make a great combo!

Fun time had by all! Brookside Elementary & WKHS Lacrosse Players & Coaches -- November 3, 2021

What makes a great day after school?  How about Brookside Elementary students and Worthington Kilbourne Boys Lacrosse team members playing lacrosse together!

Coaches and players from Kilbourne Lacrosse Boys Lacrosse team are once again volunteering at Worthington elementary schools and running free lacrosse clinics at "Care After "for boys and girls.

Giving back and making connections with the next wave of Worthington students is what it's all about!

The high school team visited, taught and played with students at  Brookside today and will be at other elementary schools over the next couple weeks.

The clinics more than just teach and encourage kids to play lacrosse.  They also allow the young kids to connect with fellow Worthington students who have walked in their shoes just a few years prior.  And for the high schoolers, it helps teach the value of giving back and leading the way for others.

The clinics are part of Kilbourne Lacrosse's long-standing "Man-Up" community service program.  Kilbourne players volunteer in a variety of ways including  delivering Meals on Wheels, mentoring, Read Across America and events supporting our military troops.

The lacrosse clinics are fun, active and fast-paced.  Just check out those smiles!   Worthington has a proud legacy of success in lacrosse for both boys and girls including State Championships and regularly competing among the top teams in the state.  We want to do our part to continue that opportunity and tradition for Worthington kids in the future.

Keep an eye out for us coming to your school and join the fun!
