Players "Stuff The Bag" With Worthington CARES Coalition

The Wolves "bagged" their most important win of the season: helping others!  Last Saturday members of the Kilbourne Boys and Girls lacrosse teams both volunteered at Worthington Cares Coalition "Stuff The Bag" event.  The community service event sponsored through Worthington CARES Coalition was designed to help provide supplies to members of our community in need.

The event was held at WKHS and volunteers stuffed "COVID Relief Bags".  The bags were filled with items to promote wellness and reduce substance abuse and addiction.  In total, 3000 bags were filled by community volunteers including more than 40 members of the boys' and girls' lacrosse teams.

The WKHS Boys Lacrosse team has a long history of public service through it's "Man-Up" Community service program.  This year with COVID, the regular in person  hours that team members usually commit to volunteer have been a challenge.   So the "Stuff The Bag" event was a great way for players to be able to volunteer safely (all safety protocols were in place) and still make a difference for our community.

Thanks to Lori Povisil, Chair of Worthington CARES Coalition and Amy Ambrozich, Vice-Chair of Worthington CARES Coalition for your work making the event possible and allowing our student athletes to participate and contribute towards making a difference for others!
