McCord Wolves selected to play in middle school all-star game -- May 2019
The 2019 Worthington McCord Middle School lacrosse season was a successful one for the Wolves. The McCord Wolves A team ended up with a record of 11-4-2, while the McCord Wolves B team finished the season 7-3.
Both teams entered into the middle school state tournament held at Dublin Scioto HS last weekend, and both teams went 2-1 respectively in their brackets. Wolves A earned a #6 seed in the Red, Division I bracket. The squad lost a close opening contest with Wadsworth 9-8, before rallying to beat Bay Village 13-9. In their final game, Wolves A beat Mason 7-2 to take home 5th place in Red, Division I and take 9th place overall in the state.
The Wolves B team was a #4 seed in Division VI. Wolves B opened the tournament beating New Concord 10-0, then lost to Springboro B 8-2, but capped the season on a winning note by beating Gahanna 6-3 to take 3rd place in Division VI.
Congrats to all the players and coaches. Kilbourne Lacrosse is excited to welcome all the rising 9th graders to the high school next year!
