By Greg Fisher, 05/09/19, 1:00PM EDT

Wolves will compete in MSLCA Tournament Followed By OHSAA

The Kilbourne Wolves' "second season" starts this weekend as the team has completed it's regular season schedule and now moves on to postseason play.  Kilbourne will compete in both the MSLCA (Midwest Scholastic Lacrosse Coaches' Association) Midwest Tournament this weekend, followed by the OHSAA State Championship tournament starting next week.

First, Kilbourne will play 2 games this weekend in the MSLCA in Obetz.  Kilbourne will take on two Pennsylvania teams in Shady Side Academy on Friday at 5:30pm and then Mt. Lebanon (PA) Saturday morning at 9:00am.  Both games are in Obetz at the Fortress complex.  Full details and field information are available on the "Game Schedule" portion of the website for Kilbourne Varsity.  The games will offer strong regional competition for the Wolves before the state tournament.

After the MSLCA, Kilbourne will host the first round of the OHSAA State Championship tournament on May 14th at 6:30pm at WKHS Stadium.  Kilbourne earned a #2 seed in Region 3 for the OHSAA tournament.  Kilbourne will face Newark in the first round.  If the Wolves, continue to advance they could host a total of 3 OHSAA playoff games.  Here is a link to the OHSAA Region #3 bracket.  All final game times and locations will be posted on the Game Schedule portion of the website as finalized.

We hope you can come out and support WKHS in the OHSAA Tournament.  It's the senior's last ride and the goal is  always to "keep playing tomorrow".
